Samsung & LG Smart TV setup

How to install IPTV on a Samsung or LG Smart TV

Samsung (Tizen) and LG (webOS) TVs use apps from their own stores. Many link your playlist using the TV's MAC address or a device key.

Step-by-step installation

  1. 1

    Open the app store

Press Home on the remote and open Apps (Samsung) or the LG Content Store (LG).

  2. 2

    Install an IPTV player

Search for an IPTV player that supports your model — support can recommend one — and install it.

  3. 3

Note the MAC address or device key

Open the app. If it shows a MAC address and device key, write them down or take a photo.

  4. 4

    Add your login

If the app has a login screen, enter your Xtream Codes details. Otherwise, visit the app's website on your phone or computer and add your playlist against the MAC address — or send the MAC and key to support and we'll help.

  5. 5

    Restart the app

Close and reopen the app on the TV. Your channels, TV guide and on-demand library will load.

Note: Some MAC-based apps charge a small activation fee to the app developer after a trial period. This is separate from your Best IPTV UK plan.

Common problems

The app isn't in my TV's store

App listings vary by model and year. Ask support for an alternative, or add a Fire TV Stick or Android TV device to the HDMI port.

The playlist doesn't appear after uploading

Check the MAC address and device key were entered exactly, then fully close and reopen the app on the TV.

The app asks for payment

Some MAC-based players charge a small activation fee to their developer after a trial. This is separate from your Best IPTV UK plan.
