IPTV installation & setup guide

Setting up Best IPTV UK takes a few minutes on almost any device: install an IPTV player, enter the login we send you, and the channels and guide load automatically. Choose your device for the exact steps.

How to set up IPTV in four steps

The same process applies on almost every device.
  1. 1

    Get your login

Order a plan or request a free trial. We send an Xtream Codes login (server URL, username and password) and/or an M3U playlist link.

  2. 2

    Install an IPTV player

Install an IPTV player app on your device from its app store, or as an APK on Firestick and Android TV.

  3. 3

    Add your playlist

Open the player, choose Xtream Codes or M3U, and enter the details exactly as sent. Some Smart TV apps use the TV's MAC address instead.

  4. 4

    Load channels and the guide

Wait for the channel list, TV guide and on-demand library to load, then start watching.

Before you start

What will I receive?

After your order (or trial) is confirmed, we send your login: an Xtream Codes server URL, username and password, and/or an M3U playlist link, plus setup notes for your device.

Which app should I install?

Any reputable IPTV player that supports Xtream Codes or M3U. Our IPTV app guide recommends options for each device.

What connection do I need?

Around 15–20 Mbps for HD and 40 Mbps or more for 4K, ideally over Ethernet or 5 GHz Wi-Fi. See our speed guide.

Don't have a login yet?

Choose a plan or request a free trial — we'll send your details with instructions for your device.

Installed but something isn't right?

  • “Invalid login” — re-type the details exactly; URLs, usernames and passwords are case-sensitive.
  • No TV guide — refresh the EPG in the app settings. EPG fixes.
  • Buffering — try Ethernet or 5 GHz Wi-Fi and clear the app cache. 12 fixes.
  • Still stuck? Send us your device, app and what you see on screen.

Installation FAQ

How do I install IPTV?

Install an IPTV player app on your device, open it, and enter the login details you receive (an Xtream Codes login or an M3U playlist link). The channel list and guide then load automatically. Our installation guide has step-by-step instructions for each device.

What is the difference between Xtream Codes and M3U?

Both are ways of loading your service into an app. An Xtream Codes login uses a server URL, username and password and usually loads channels, the guide and on-demand content automatically. An M3U link is a single playlist URL, and the guide may need a separate EPG link.

What internet speed is recommended for IPTV?

As a guide, allow at least 15–20 Mbps for HD and Full HD streams and around 40 Mbps or more for 4K. A wired Ethernet connection, or a strong 5 GHz Wi-Fi signal, gives the most stable picture.

How can I reduce buffering?

Use a wired connection or 5 GHz Wi-Fi, restart your router and device, clear the player app's cache, close other apps that use bandwidth, and make sure the player app is up to date. If buffering continues, contact support so we can check your connection and server settings.

Can I use Best IPTV UK on more than one device?

You can install your login on several devices, such as a living-room TV and a phone. The number of devices that can stream at the same time depends on your account set-up, so tell support how many screens you need when you order.
