IPTV Smarters Pro is a video player app for IPTV services. It doesn't sell or include any TV channels. Instead, you enter the login from your IPTV provider and the app organises that provider's live channels, programme guide, films and series into one interface. It's one of the most widely used IPTV players because it runs on so many devices and supports the two common login formats.
What IPTV Smarters Pro does (and doesn't do)
Think of the app as the remote control and screen layout, not the TV service itself. It can:
- Sign in with an Xtream Codes (Xtream API) login or an M3U playlist URL
- Show live TV by category, with an electronic programme guide (EPG)
- Browse on-demand movies and series supplied by your provider
- Play catch-up on channels where the provider supports it
- Save favourites, search and, on some versions, set parental controls
It can't add channels your provider doesn't supply, fix a slow internet connection, or make an expired subscription work again.
Which devices it runs on
The developer has released versions for Android phones and tablets, Android TV and Fire TV, iPhone, iPad and Apple TV, and some Samsung and LG smart TVs. A desktop version has also been offered for Windows and macOS. App names and store listings change from time to time — on Apple devices, for example, a version has been listed under a different name — so check the official store for your device rather than downloading copies from unofficial websites.

How to set up IPTV Smarters Pro
The steps are almost identical on every device:
- Install the app from your device's official app store.
- Open it and accept the terms. Choose your preferred layout if asked.
- Select Login with Xtream Codes API (or Load your playlist or file/URL if you only have an M3U link).
- For Xtream Codes, enter any name for the profile, then the username, password and server URL exactly as your provider sent them — including
http://and any port number such as:8080. - Tap Add user. The app downloads channels, the guide and on-demand content.
- Open Live TV and pick a channel to check playback.

Settings worth changing
Programme guide (EPG)
With an Xtream Codes login, the guide usually loads by itself. If it's empty, open Settings → EPG (or Install EPG) and refresh it. Make sure the time zone matches where you are, or programme times will be out. Our EPG troubleshooting guide covers this in detail.
Player selection
Smarters includes more than one built-in player engine and can hand streams to an external player such as VLC. If a channel stutters or shows no picture, switching the player in settings is one of the quickest fixes.
Buffer size and stream format
Where available, a slightly larger buffer can smooth over brief dips in your connection. Some versions also let you choose between stream formats; if one format freezes, try the other.

Downloading safely
